Qualifying international students are eligible for a WVU Tech Nonresident Freshman Scholarship or a Nonresident STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Scholarship. Depending upon the scholarship award (awards are described in the chart below) international students can realize one-year savings of $2,000 to $8,100 (USD) and four-year savings of $8,000 to $32,400 (USD).

Both scholarship programs apply to a maximum of four consecutive academic years. Only the WVU Tech Campus Provost can grant exceptions to this policy. Appeals for exceptions must be submitted at least 60 days before the requested exception is to become effective.

International students who are offered and accept either of these scholarships are rquired to submit Proof of Financial Support as well, showing that they have adequate funding for their studies at WVU Tech. The I-20 form, which is required to obtain a student visa, will be issued and sent only after Proof of Financial Support is received.
